Paras Because Even Teachers Need Heroes Shirt! God hasn’t been entirely kicked out of America’s classrooms… at least the one’s I’ve been serving as a substitute teacher in in seven districts, nineteen schools, and who knows how many classrooms. Most schools still begin the day with the Pledge of Allegiance, that includes, One nation under God. Individual teachers wear faith based slogans on T-Shirts, have Bible verses along with other inspirational notions posted in their classrooms, and are open discussing their faith with fellow teachers who desire to do so, as well. In one school, the time and date for the local Catholic catechism and upcoming baptismal times are posted on the front door next to other school activity announcements and the Paras Because Even Teachers Need Heroes Shirt. I heard last weekend that in one of the districts, a certain religious group makes direct appeals to students in the classrooms to attend their activities and services.
