The actress, activist and mom of three is doing her part to change the world. Time

She’s garnered another honor.
Jennifer Garner is the cover star of this year’s Beautiful Issue from People magazine, an achievement she isn’t entirely comfortable with.
The “Love, Simon” actress appeared on Wednesday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” sheepishly walking onstage through a waterfall of flowing streamers.
Once seated Garner, 47, found it hard to even look at her cover.

“Oh, there it is!” she said taking it into her hands. “Ah, it’s so embarrassing!”
“That’s the first time I’ve seen it, I can’t look at it,” she added, shielding her eyes.
She even joked: “People is now a magazine for AARP.”
But DeGeneres wasn’t having it. “I agree with (People). You are a beautiful person inside and out.”

DeGeneres even jokingly suggested her guest carry the magazine with her while running errands, though Garner seems unlikely to take her up on the idea.
Reflecting on how many times she’s been on the daytime talk show, the “Alias” alum revealed: “I have never been more nervous than I am today. I don’t know, I guess I just thought you guys would boo … Like, you guys are expecting Kaia Gerber, and it’s me. And I feel like bolting, I feel like I should go, you know what I mean? ‘Cause it’s so ridiculous.”
“I don’t,” DeGeneres said in response.
“Ah, it’s so silly,” Garner said, still wrestling with the honor, “but it’s nice. Thank you.”
Citing Garner’s acting career, entrepreneurship and work with Save the Children, People declares, “Garner is more than deserving to grace the cover of this year’s The Beautiful Issue.”
The “Camping” actress tells the outlet that growing up she “didn’t see myself as attractive at all.” However, she still “felt good” as “looks weren’t a big deal in my family. I don’t think my parents ever said ‘You’re pretty’ and so we just didn’t think about it.”
Similarly, the children she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck – Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7 – are partial to a casual Garner, instead of one fresh from a photo shoot.
“They’ll look at me and say, ‘Can you wash your face? Can you put your hair in a ponytail and put your glasses and sweats on?’ ” recalled Garner. “And I see the compliment in that. They just want me to look like Mom.”
