Pete Davidson and Margaret Qualley Are Making the Case for Anti-Couple Style

Summer is typically when fresh new romances form, and 2019’s buzziest link-up is comedian Pete Davidson and actress Margaret Qualley. The emerging couple confirmed their dating status this weekend when they stepped out in Venice, Italy together. (They’re in town for Qualley’s new film, Seberg, which debuted at the Venice Film Festival.) And while it’s early days yet, it seems the duo are wasting no time developing their own couples style.

So, what exactly is the Davidson-Qualley fashion look? It’s all about the juxtaposition; Qualley’s discreet-chic ensemble paired against Davidson’s grungy-hipster aesthetic is a textbook example of opposites attract. Call it anti-couple style. Yesterday, the actress wore a chic tank dress with buckled Mary Jane flats in white, which matched her cross-body bag. Davidson, meanwhile, opted for a T-Shirt printed with a Biggie Smalls graphic, Adidas low-tops, and satiny gym shorts.

Just a day prior, the two stars made their very first appearance together, stepping out in the Italian city in more reserved ensembles that still had a clash factor: Davidson wore a casual navy polo and black trousers, while Qualley dressed up in a tuxedo jacket that she sported as a dress. It’s almost as though they were trying to go incognito. Nonetheless, this budding relationship is sure to be as high-profile as they come.
